Meipso’s guidelines for cookies
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files containing information stored on your computer (or other Internet-enabled devices, such as smartphones or tablets) when you visit a website. A cookie usually contains the name of the website from which the cookie comes, the lifespan of the cookie (ie how long it will be stored on your device) and a value, which is usually a randomly generated unique number.
Cookies are used to make websites work more efficiently but also to provide certain information to the owner of a website. Cookies make it possible to keep different users apart, which in itself can give each user a more tailored and positive experience of the website.
What do Meipso cookies use for?
Cookies used on Meipso’s websites
Long-term cookies, ie. cookies that save a file for a longer period of time on your computer. Long-term cookies are used, for example, to remember your login status and your latest choices on the website. How long the cookie stays on your device depends on the lifetime of the specific cookie and your browser settings. They are always deleted if you log out and depending on your browser settings, they can also be deleted when you close the browser.
How to block and / or delete cookies
How to delete stored cookies or change the settings for cookies is stated in the instructions to the browser or in the help function that most browsers are equipped with. If you use different devices to view and access the website (for example, your computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.), you must ensure that the browser on each device is adjusted to your wishes regarding cookies.
Please note that if you choose not to allow the storage of cookies, you may not be able to use all parts of the website, and some parts of the website may not work properly.
